New Testament Scriptures Course
This course investigates the development of the canonical New Testament. Christianity is a religion of “the book” and the Bible is, of course, that book. The New Testament is more important to Christians than the Old Testament, which they consider largely as a prefigurement of the New. Historically, Christian theologians searched the Old Testament for types such as the paschal lamb, which they took to prefigure Christ as the Messiah whom God had promised to redeem humankind.
