The Interfaith Seminary offers the following
degrees in Essenic Theology:
M.Th. Master of Essenic Theology
Th.D. Doctor of Essenic Theology
Degree Description:
This degree program is for those interested in the
theology of the ancient Essenes. The Essenes were a group of unorthodox
Jewish people during the times of Jesus and there is growing evidence
that Jesus himself may have been an Essene instead of an Orthodox
Jew. The Essenes preceded Jesus and came to an end not long after
his Crucifixion.
The coursework for this degree explore the various
aspects of what the Essenes believed and taught. Through studying
Essene theology one comes to have a broader understanding of some
of the teachings of Jesus Christ and his followers. This course
is designed for those who wish to broaden their understanding
of the times of Jesus and his Apostles.
