degrees in Interfaith Studies:
M.A. Master of Arts in Interfaith Studies
Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy in Interfaith Studies
Degree Description:
Interfaith Studies is the study of the world's major
and minor religions from an interfaith perspective, which focuses
upon similarities and commonalities between the many various faiths
in our modern world. In studying the various faiths one comes
to find many common threads running through all religious and
spiritual pathways. This degree program gives the student a solid
and broad understanding of the many different world religions
and spiritual pathways. It enables the student not only to realize
the differences but the similarities between all faiths and gives
the student a solid foundation for further study. This course
also prepares one who is planning to enter into the Interfaith
Ministry.
Master of Arts in Interfaith
Studies
Degree Requirements for the M.A. is as follows:
Prerequisites: Bachelor's Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. M.A. candidate must write and then defend a Master's
Thesis on a subject pertaining to Interfaith Studies.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 7 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 36

Sacred Texts (4 credit hours)
World Religions I (4 credit hours)
Interfaith Studies I (4 credit hours)

Independent Studies (6 credit hours)
Text of student's choosing as related to Interfaith
Studies and approved by the Academic Advisor

Degree Requirements for the Ph.D. is as
follows:
Prerequisites: Master`s Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. Ph.D. candidate must write and then defend a
dissertation on a subject pertaining to Interfaith Studies.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 7 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 48
