
The Interfaith Seminary offers the following
degrees in Jewish Studies:
M.A. Master of Arts in Jewish Studies
Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy in Jewish Studies
Degree Description:
This degree on the Jewish faith - the forefather
of Christianity and Islam and a player of many religious changes
and movements. This degree attempts to look at the many aspects
of the Jewish belief system over the centuries, both on its own
and in comparison to its brethren religions. This degree provides
a good background for a Christian or Jewish ministry.
Master of Arts
Degree Requirements for the M.A. is as follows:
Prerequisites: Bachelor's Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. M.A. candidate must write and then defend a Master`s
Thesis on a subject pertaining to Jewish Studies.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 7 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 30

The Old Testament (3 credit hours)
Islam, Christianity & Judaism (4 credit
hour)
Interfaith Studies II (4 credit hours)
Jewish Theology (3 credit hours)

Jewish Religious Practices (4 credit hour)
Independent Studies (3 credit hours)
Text of student's choosing as related to Jewish
Studies and approved by the Academic Advisor
Thesis (6 credit hours)

Doctor of Philosophy
Degree Requirements for the Ph.D. is as
follows:
Prerequisites: Master`s Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.

2. Ph.D. candidate must write and then defend a
dissertation on a subject pertaining to Jewish Studies.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
