The Interfaith Seminary offers the following
degrees in Church Management:
M.A. Master of Arts in Church Management
Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy in Church Management
Degree Description:
This interfaith degree, unlike others offered by
the IFS, is oriented more towards the business aspects of ministry
than the personal, religious or healing aspects. This degree is
a necessary asset for those who already have a background in religious
studies and now want to form or run a ministry. This degree provides
a foundation in all the business aspects of ministry, including
marketing, accounting and leadership studies.
Master of Arts
Degree Requirements for the M.A. is as follows:
Prerequisites: Bachelor's Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. M.A. candidate must write and then defend a Master`s
Thesis on a subject pertaining to church management.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 8 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 35

Degree Requirements for the Ph.D. is as
follows:
Prerequisites: Master`s Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. Ph.D. candidate must write and then defend a
dissertation on a subject pertaining to church management.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 8 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 45
**Please note: No life experience credit is available
for this degree.
