
The Interfaith Seminary offers the following
degrees in Sacred Theology:
M.Th. Master of Sacred Theology
Th.D. Doctor of Sacred Theology
Degree Description:
Sacred Theology is the study of religious faith,
practice and experience as seen through sacred texts. This degree
and provides a good foundation in theological studies of the major
religious sects across the globe.
This is a non-denominational degree. For a concentration on any
one particular religion please see the other degrees currently
offered by the IFS.
Master of Sacred Theology
Degree Requirements for the M.Th. is as
follows:
Prerequisites: Bachelor`s Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.
1. All assigned coursework as agreed upon by the
student and their Academic Advisor.
2. M.Lit. candidate must write and then defend a
Master`s Thesis on a subject pertaining to Sacred Theology.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 7 + Thesis
Total Required Hours: 32

The Bible (3 credit hours)
Gnostic Theology (3 credit hours)
The Koran (3 credit hours)
Buddhist Theology (4 credit hours)
The Bhagavad Gita (4 credit hours)
Native American Theology (3 credit hours)
Independent Theological Studies (6 credit
hours)
Text of student`s choosing as related to Sacred
Theology and approved by the Academic Advisor
Thesis (6 credit hours)

Doctor of Sacred Theology
Degree Requirements for the Th.D. is as
follows:
Prerequisites: Master`s Degree from an approved
educational institution or proof of related life/work experience.

2. Th.D. candidate must write and then defend a
dissertation on a subject pertaining to Sacred Theology.
3. Tuition paid in full and all coursework must
be completed and graded before diploma is awarded.
Total Courses: 7 + Thesis
